Just a note to say 'thanks for your help throughout my pregnancy in the Alexander technique yoga classes. I highly recommend the class to any pregnant woman. In addition, having tried both your class and various 'prenatal yoga' classes, I would choose your class every time. I found that the other yoga classes did not tailor poses to suit my individual (and changing ) physique and failed to recognise that we each have different strengths and weaknesses, tightness and flexibility.
In the AT yoga class I knew that I wouldn't hurt myself and that each pose was adapted and ideal for my body's configuration.
Although I have the habit of standing with a sway (curved lower) back, which should have been exacerbated by pregnancy, I had no lower back pain at all during my pregnancy, despite giving birth to a 9 pound 3 oz baby! In fact, I think my posture was better during pregnancy than before I was pregnant!
AT yoga was been fabulous for me and gave me a range of useful poses to deal with the pain of labour naturally...up to a certain point - my baby was unfortunately posterior!
