David Moore

Director at the School for F.M. Alexander Studies graduated from Australia's first Alexander technique training course in Sydney in 1985. In 1999 he set up an AUSTAT accredited training course in Melbourne which at present has 16 trainees doing an Advanced Diploma in Alexander Technique Teaching.

David teaches classes applying the Alexander technique and has also a strong interest in voice having  worked with singers, storytellers and public speakers.

David is available to run workshops throughout the world in the Alexander technique, or applying the technique to yoga or voice.

Jenny Thirtle

Jenny is the Assistant Director and Teacher at The School for FM Alexander Studies teacher training school since 2003. As part of her work at the school, she runs groups and master classes for the voice and performance day.

Since graduating from the Melbourne Alexander Teacher Training School in 1996 Jenny has also maintained a private practice where she teaches musicians and members of the general public who are in pain.  She has run 12 week courses at the Victorian College of the Arts Music Dept and Melba conservatorium for their Bachelor degrees. Currently she is teaching at the VCA in the Drama Department.

Jack Mintz

Jack, a keen sportsman, comes from a commercial & financial business background. ​He developed debilitating back problems which resulted in being unable to continue with his work & sporting activities. ​Jack credits the Alexander Technique for him overcoming these difficulties & now has a private Alexander Technique practice, as well as teaching at the School for FM Alexander Studies.

Julianne Eveleigh

Julianne originally trained as an actor in the UK where she worked both in theatre and television before returning to Australia and specialising as a voice teacher. She has spent the past 20 years working with performers, professionals, students and anyone interested in exploring their voices. Her work focuses on the dynamic relationship between vocal and physical expression.

Before joining the Arts Academy at the University of Ballarat in 2008, Julianne taught voice at the National Theatre Drama School and at the Victorian College of the Arts on the Acting and Musical Theatre programs. Her interest in working with the embodied voice led her to embark on a three year Alexander Technique Training course She recently completed a Masters degree on Alexander Technique and the voice.

Teresa Mears

Teresa has been learning the Alexander Technique for almost 20 years. Her passion for it led her to come to Melbourne from New Zealand to train as a teacher at the School for F.M. Alexander Studies where she graduated in 2013.
 

Teresa has been teaching Alexander Yoga for several years. Having experienced the benefits of Alexander Yoga in her recovery from Repetitive Strain Injury, Teresa loves helping others apply the Technique to yoga and enjoy the improvement in ease and range of motion that results.

As well as yoga, she enjoys applying the Technique to a wide range of interests including singing, improvisational comedy, and running.

Rossella Buono

Rossella Buono  moved to Melbourne from Italy in 2007 to undertake her training at the School for F.M. Alexander Studies. Working with a great range of people, Rossella has applied the Technique to improving the lives of people with issues such as back, neck or shoulder pain, fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s disease, sciatica, asthma, stuttering, anxiety and stress. She has also enjoyed attaining tangible posture and movement improvements for musicians, sportspeople, office workers, and the elderly.

Rossella now lives mostly in the UK, going back often to practice the Alexander Technique both in Australia and in Italy.
